A week of Insta-piration: the best of interiors Instagram accounts
We love Instagram. Especially interiors Instagram accounts. Whether’s 15 minutes on the bus or sneaking five minutes in bed first thing in the morning, Instagram is a feast for the eyes and enough to make anyone swoon. We follow all sorts of people – from interior designers and antiques traders to foodies and wunderlusters.
We were talking earlier today about just how inspiring it can be when you stumble across a photo that so perfectly captures a mood, style or feeling that you’re a fan of. In honour of that, we’ve rounded up nine of the posts that we just loved this week. Some are from pretty popular accounts and we’ve also discovered a few hidden gems that are definitely worth checking out.
We always love finding and following new people, so connect with us on Instagram and let’s share the inspiration!
This beautiful calm shot from Apartment Apothecary has us swooning. It helps that there’s a cheeky Ercol chair poking out the top of the table and those lovely shells hinting at the seaside have us lusting after a trip. @aptapothecary
The yellow fabric on this teak chair pops out of the screen and you can’t help but stop scrolling. It’s an absolute beauty by Norwegian designer Torbjorn Afdal and posted on the Dagmar London account. @dagmarlondon
From the beautiful 40-something fashion blogger, Sophie Wilson at 40 Stories, this colourful montage from Chelsea Flower Show made us smile. How can you not love women swimming in flower covered swimming caps?! @40storiesblog
Stockholm based Josephine was one of the first people we followed when we started our Instagram account and she’s been an absolute inspiration. We love the clean, fresh look of her feed as well as the delicious, healthy food she creates. @lilli_and_belli
Flowers and vintage goodies combine to make this feed from Harry and Frank one of our absolute favourites. This vintage wooden lab stool and tub with some cute fresh flowers poking out the top caught our eye particularly. @harryandfrank
Cool Hackney-based dealers of original Scandinavian furniture and design pieces, you can expect clean lines, lots of teak and flashes of gold from Chase & Sorensen. We want the vintage tumblers and bread plates in this shot. @chaseandsorensen
The Instagram feed from Australian based Tania Turnball at Blooming Rooms is bloomin’ marvellous. We dig the clean aesthetic with flashes of colour and beautiful plants. This view just looked so inviting we wanted to head Down Under! @bloomingrooms
This lovely chair deserves a shout-out for making green, grey, black, leather and wood look chic – no easy feat. We go to East London based House of Twenty for their beautiful Mid century pieces. @house_of_twenty
We absolutely couldn’t do an Insta-piration round up without mentioning the fantastic Whitney Leigh Morris from Venice Beach, California. Her images of life in the Tiny Canal Cottage and beautiful pooch Stanlee Stubs have us in awe every time. @whitneyleighmorris
