A set of minimalist postmodern dining chairs (4) by Dick Spierenburg for Castelijn, manufactured in 1978. A statement slant. Made from a frame of wood and steel with a grey wool upholstery. Good original condition, only minimal age wear.
Dick Spierenburg, born in 1953 in Utrecht, designed furniture, interiors and houses. He studied architecture in Delft and architectural design at the Royal Academy in The Hague. His designs are characterized by pure forms with contrasts, as seen here with the red popping against the grey.
