What is our policy?

To protect yourself from disappointment or something unexpected, we encourage you to closely inspect the item details before purchasing anything, ask any questions you need to and then check once again upon delivery.

We make every effort to highlight any exceptional wear and tear, but by the nature of the products listed on the Layer marketplace, many of the beautiful pieces are timeworn with possible imperfections. Please take this into account when deciding to make a purchase!

Whilst we hope that you are happy with your purchase when it arrives, we understand that sometimes returns are necessary.

What happens if I change my mind about the piece or it doesn’t fit in to my home?

You can claim a refund providing you notify us within 7 days of receiving your purchase. You must also email with the following information:

  1. The reason for the refund.
  2. The related order number.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. You must also retain the original packaging.

Once the goods have been returned to the seller, it will be inspected and we will send you an email to let you know that we have received your returned item. We will then notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If approved, your refund will be processed and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 7 days.

Who pays the return delivery charge?

The buyer pays for the return delivery unless Layer finds that the item was damaged in transportation or determines the listing was inaccurate, misleading, or misrepresented the item.

What happens if the item has been damaged in transit?

Please email us within 24 hours of receiving your item at with the following information in order to be eligible for a full refund including the cost of the delivery.

  1. The reason for your refund.
  2. The related order number.
  3. Photographs which support your claim.

Can I claim a refund more than 7 days after delivery?

No, unfortunately we are unable to offer a refund or exchange outside of our 7 day policy.

What happens if there is a delay in receiving my refund?

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded
